Friday Linkzookery and Gitmo Recidivism
Murdoc does his usual good job on Friday, offering a plethora of military themed posts to choose from. Great way to while away a few hours while at work.
Two posts that don’t appear in the Linkzookery are very interesting.
In the first, Murdoc discusses a former Gitmo detainee who decided to renew his life of terrorism. I note that a stay at the prison there doesn’t seem to actually discourage too many terrorists from taking up arms again.
The second post concerns the Ivy League college town Amherst, Mass. It would appear that the elected officials there actually passed a resolution urging Congress to release Gitmo prisoners, and to send at least a few of them to Amherst. To live!
The Select Board at Amherst seems to think that the released terrorists will be grateful. They can let me know how that all turns out.

I have no sympathy for these vile terrorists, but this strikes me as an excessively brutal punishment for their crimes.

Trying. Not. To. Laugh.
Thanks for the links, James!

Sounds like a great idea to me. Send ‘em all, why not?

I’ll say this - if I weren’t an American-hating terrorist when I went into gitmo, I’m pretty sure I would be by the time I got out.
